I worked as Technical Support for my office. My laptop was installed with Win 7 Pro 64 bit. I got this laptop from ex-colleague. I don't know if my ex-colleague has done any major modification on this laptop.

Recently, I got a new colleague and my company provide her with a brand new pc, installed with Win 7 Pro 64 bit.
Below are my problem description:
1. Before this, I tried to install Hp Scanning Software Scanjet N6350 Full Package in my laptop but failed.
2. I installed the exact same software on my new colleague, and I succeed.
3. I tried to correct my registry using a 3rd party tool, named Little Registry Cleaner. I thought my registry was broken.
4. Re-install the software but still failed.
5. Run Compatilibity Troubleshooter on installer, windows said the program is not compatible with my windows version.
6. Re-run installer. The installer popup a window saying that its reading my OS as 'Windows XP 64-bit'
I'm quiet sure, once I re-format my laptop, I can install the software but doing that will consume lot of time to setup back my laptop to be like before.
